Rene Deachin

Rene is a Certified Nutrition Counselor through Trinity School of Natural Heath and a Certified Functional Nutrition Coach, continually taking classes in whole food nutrition, herbology, immunology, and endocrinology.  Functional nutrition seeks to find the root cause of symptoms and supply nutrients that promote healing, rather than medicating and masking symptoms while the condition or illness progresses.

With a personal history of overcoming (by the grace of God at age 4) a urinary tract infection with a 108° fever, Graves' (autoimmune) disease, systemic candida overgrowth, and toxic levels of mold, copper, and mercury, she has learned that our bodies have an incredible ability to heal when given the right nutrients at the right time and allowing rest as needed. Emotional and spiritual healing are also necessary for complete recovery. We cannot get well in unhealthy relationships or with an unforgiving heart.

Marcy Schultz

Marcy is a Registered Nurse at the University of Michigan Health System, specializing in cardiac care.  Her current position is in Adult Critical Care in the float pool. She cares for a variety of patients in 7 ICU settings: Cardiovascular, Surgical, Critical Care, Medical, Neurology, Coronary, Pulmonary, and Trauma/Burn intensive care units. These diverse experiences have helped her realize how important the role of nutrition and supplements play in all areas of health.  Before this position, she worked briefly as a Clinical Care Coordinator in the Electrophysiology Department at Michigan Medicine, but missed the hands-on care of patients. Prior to that she worked nearly 10 years in cardiac intensive care, four years in cardiac step-down telemetry, and in medical procedures for patients undergoing GI, pulmonary and neurology procedures that require conscious sedation. She is the recipient of several U of M awards, such as "You're Super" for excellence in nursing care and "Make a Difference" for excellence in nursing leadership. She is highly skilled in advanced cardiac therapies and a recognized resource for co-workers.

Marcy has also worked as a home healthcare nurse and spent one year on a medical/surgical unit at the former Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI.

She is an avid Cross Fitter and has recently begun taking courses in whole food nutrition.
